Summary: The Account Manager for Region Quebec is responsible for identifying new commercial opportunities, achievement of sales growth and to maximize profitability for all business lines in the underground mining and tunneling markets for the assigned area. Ideally, the position is located in Quebec but will consider other locations for a suitable candidate
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop a market area business plan and sales strategy working with the Sales Manager North America
- Conduct analyses of the market, customers, competition, latest trends, challenges and product developments to identify sales and new product opportunities.
- Regular visits to all customers in territory to observe operation, identify what products are in use, obtain feedback on our company equipment performance, customer service, field service requirements and ground support needs.
- Develop and maintain customer database with key contacts, mine managers, procurement managers, operations managers, maintenance supervisors.
- Create Account Development plans with Sales teams to determine which products are a fit for customer applications.
- Prepare proposals and presentations to support major sales projects for all company business lines.
Skills:
- Must be bilingual French / English
- strong understanding of equipment requirements for underground applications
- Management and organizational skill sets
- Must excel at oral, written and technical communications.
- Background with customer service
- Computer programs (word, Excel, MS Office, ERP) strong math aptitude
- Experienced in working with CRM systems
- Excellent time management skills
Education/Experience:
- Three year college engineering degree in mining, civil, mechanical or related industry experience.
- 5 years minimum sales experience in underground mining and/or tunneling markets
- Strong understanding of customer market dynamics and requirements
- Willingness to travel and work with a global team of professionals
