Job responsibilities:
The purpose of this position to identify, meet and exceed sales growth targets, acting as the principle point of contact for all dealers, bucket shops and end-user customers, and increasing the presence, market share and brand awareness of within the region. Key activities include:
Sales:
- Figure out what it takes to win to drive revenue and win deals.
- Meet with top tier mining companies and develop relationships at all levels of the organization; corporate, mine management, procurement, maintenance, and operations.
- Determine market pricing.
- Develop competitive offerings which differentiate company products in the market and compel customers to choose and stay with company products.
- Effectively present product line and value proposition to end users.
- Be a leader within the organization to ensure customer requirements and expectations are clearly understood and met.
Key Account Management:
- Support existing customers in the region; learn the business and customers to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Grow business with existing customers within the region.
Reporting:
- Be the voice of the customer. Report on customer issues in real time and follow up through to resolution and closure with the customer.
- Maintain accurate forecast and sales pipeline.
- Report on risks and opportunities within your region to provide deeper understanding of how your forecast and sales pipeline will be delivered.
- Report on competitive threats, market pricing, and market condition which may impact sales revenue and threaten our market share or brand reputation.
- Put forth new product ideas / enhancements to strengthen product offering.
- Determine unit population and GET consumption for mining machines in the size range of the product offerings.
- Accurate reporting of forecast, sales pipeline, and customer issues.
Capabilities – qualifications, experience and skills required to be successful in the position:
Qualifications and Attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Management (or degree with significant practical experience) preferred.
- English required; Spanish is a plus.
- Demonstrated success in developing / selling consumable wear products in surface mining operations.
- Strong relationships with surface mining customers.
- Demonstrated Sales Capabilities of: Sales Drive, Sales Confidence, Adaptability, Resilience, Listening.
- Regular travel required.
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- Previous mining products/services sales experience; relevant product knowledge.
- Dealer management experience. Previous regional exposure and contacts. Sizeable contact list.
- MS Computer skills.
- Ability & passion to problem solve to deliver exceptional customer value.
